The Problem
You did the hard part. You actually wrote the book. Then you opened a browser and searched "how to publish on Amazon" — and suddenly you're drowning in:
KDP file formats. Kindle formatting. Cover dimensions. ISBN options. BISAC codes. A+ Content. Author copies. Paperback vs hardcover margins. Bleed settings. Trim sizes. DPI requirements. Metadata. Categories. Keywords.
You didn't sign up for this. You wrote a book.
By the time you click PUBLISH in your Amazon KDP account, you'll say:
"Wow, that was just as easy as you said it would be."
We hear that every single time. We handle everything between your finished manuscript and your published book. You just show up at the finish line.
The Noise
Once you figure out the technical stuff, everyone wants to sell you something.
Things you do NOT need (for most books)
Every single one of them will tell you that you need what they're selling. Some authors do. Most don't.
I see posts every day from first-time authors who spent thousands of dollars on services that made no meaningful difference to their book. Services sold to the wrong person.
The problem isn't that the advice is wrong. The problem is that it's written for someone else.
The SHOULD Problem
First-time authors are drowning in SHOULD-questions that don't have universal answers.
Should I publish just on Amazon or go wide?
Just Amazon is perfectly fine for 99% of authors.
Should I use a free Amazon ISBN or buy my own?
The free ISBN from Amazon is perfectly fine.
What trim size should I use?
6"×9" — unless you have a specific reason not to.
How much should I spend on editing?
Depends on your goals and budget. Probably less than you think.
How much should I spend on cover design?
Depends on your goals and budget. Probably less than you think.
Two authors can have identical goals and completely different right answers based on budget alone. It's not a this-or-that decision. It's a matrix. And nobody online is treating it like one.
A less than perfect published book is better than a never-published book. Every time.
Why We Built This
After years of working with authors and watching first-time self-publishers spend money they didn't need to spend, get advice that wasn't written for them, and still end up confused, overwhelmed, and unpublished — we decided to do something about it.
To help first-time authors get over the finish line. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Who You're Working With
#1, #2, #3 & #4 — Entrepreneurship on Amazon. Simultaneously.
I self-published my first book in 2011. I've sold over 500,000 books exclusively on Amazon. I've held the #1, #2, #3, and #4 bestselling books in Entrepreneurship on Amazon at the same time.
I know what authors actually need. And I know what they're being sold that they don't.
When you work with Perfectly Fine Publishing, you work with me. Directly. Not a VA. Not a junior editor. Me.
"Wow, that was just as easy as you said it would be." — Every author we work with
Spots are very limited. I only take on a handful of authors each month.
FAQ
Do I need to be on Ingram Spark or other platforms besides Amazon?
For 99% of authors, KDP is perfectly fine. Amazon dominates book sales. In 15+ years I've sold over half a million books and they've all been on Amazon. We'll tell you if you're the 1%.
What if my manuscript still needs some work?
If it's close, we can work with it. If it needs significant rewriting or restructuring, we're not the right fit yet. The intake form will tell us both before anyone spends anything.
Will you change my writing style?
No. We fix mechanics — spelling, grammar, typos. Your voice stays yours. That's not a limitation, that's the point.
What if I already have a cover?
Great. We'll review it and give you honest feedback. If it works, we use it. If it needs adjustments, we'll tell you why and help you fix it.
Why $995 and not less?
Because this is real work done by a real person who knows what they're doing. Cheaper options exist. This isn't one of them.
Why $995 and not more?
Because it's perfectly fine. And so are you.
What happens after I apply?
Every application is reviewed personally within 48 hours. If you're a good fit, you'll receive a link to get started. If not, we'll tell you honestly and point you somewhere better.
Your manuscript is done. You've done the hard part. The writing, the thinking, the showing up — that was the real work. We handle everything else.
For 99% of authors, KDP is perfectly fine. For the authors we work with, Perfectly Fine Publishing is perfectly fine. Plenty perfectly fine.
